We made it to Christmas break!! When it was first announced that the kids would be going back to school, it was a time of question and apprehension! It’ll be shut down in two weeks! was a comment echoing throughout the province. ... Well, here we are. Thanks to the hard work of the students, parents, and staff at the schools, we made it to the Christmas break!! The pandemic has hit many families hard. If you are a family that is able and looking to get a little something for the teacher in your life, we have a few suggestions.... 1. ALCOHOL. LCBO gift cards. Any denomination. We don’t sell these but it’s 2020 and that’s our first suggestion 2. A gift certificate to Ski’s Variety. Also available in any denomination. Can be used to purchase locally made meals or appies for a family gathering, lottery tickets, or even mix to go with the booze.... All jokes aside, thank you to EVERYONE who has helped the kids be able to remain in school. We appreciate all your hard work. You all deserve a break(kids included) Happy Holidays!

Minor hockey is back in full swing, and both of the little Ski’s have gone #backtothebarn Did you know Ski’s Variety has the state of the art Sparx hockey skate sharpener?!? Our friend, The Red Apron lady is on the mend! And while she had to just chill this week, we still have chicken noodle and wild rice soup, pulled pork, lasagna, cheesy potatoes and a few Mac and Cheese.
