Thank you to those in our tight knit ski community for helping raise funds to create a very special memorial at Wentworth provincial park to honour those lives tragically lost this spring. As well, a big heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who made this natural and quiet space of reflection happen. #NSStrong

Some sad news to share with our ski family on this Canada Day. A name synonymous with Ski Wentworth has passed away - Dave Wilson at age 91, died on Monday. Dave was one of the early pioneers of skiing in Wentworth and Atlantic Canada. A passion for skiing introduced to him by his father George Wilson, fueled Dave to grow and invest in what has now become a true ski community in the beautiful Wentworth Valley - a special place for so many. Dave's gregarious laugh and back sla...pping hugs always reverberated through the lodge. His ski boot wearing jig during Ducky's apres-skis won't be soon forgotten. He loved Ski Wentworth. He loved all who loved Ski Wentworth. Nothing pleased him more than to see new kids and families be introduced to the sport that he was so passionate about. Even when he wasn't able to ski the past few years, he liked to sit in the lodge over lunch and imagine himself shushing down the Rosebowl. He was a life force - who touched and impacted the lives of so many around him. Ski in Peace, Dad. https://www.tributearchive.com/obituari//David-Kerr-Wilson See more
