So privileged to have run tech for the Arts on the Ave Deep Freeze Festival for Edmonton Short Film Festival. The crowd may have been small due to the cold, but all the feedback I heard was excellent. Looking forward to next year!
Heading out the the 118ave Deep Freeze Festival this weekend, running the shows for the Edmonton Short Film Festival. Stop by St. Faith Church (nice and warm) on Saturday or Sunday afternoon (3-6), or check out our evening locations (6-8 PM) Green Onion Cake Man and Simba's Den Pub & Bistro. We're screening some awesome Alberta-made short films!
Skye Boat Productions had a blast working with the Edmonton Short Film Festival. So many fantastic films ... even though we were watching from behind ...
It was an honour to be included in this event.
Skye Boat Productions believes in community. We are proud to have offered audio services and equipment, and this year we also put together this video on behalf of the Hardisty Ministerial (a collaboration of churches). In December this year, a "Christmas Brunch" was offered to the community at no charge. The churches and community members financially supported this event. Check out the fun!... https://www.youtube.com/watch See more
We were also at the Family Fun Film Festival, another Edmonton Short Film Festival event. For this event, we set up a green screen and had fun shooting Superman (Trevor Goupil) and lots of kids in front of their choice of background. Check out the Edmonton Short Film Festival Facebook page to find your footage! We edited the footage and added backgrounds for your enjoyment :)
We were honoured to help support the Edmonton Short Film Festival as a sponsor again this year. For the gala, Skye Boat Productions provided Audio technician services for Olivia Rose Leaf, lights and equipment for the live interviews (shot by Sabrina Youden and hosted by Brandon Graziano) and set up the live Twitter wall. This has been our fifth year supporting this festival!
Except for the wind ... a perfect day for shooting! We're proud to be working with Groove Soldier Productions to create a music video for Rellik's song "Leave Me Alone" ... our first time shooting for an STORYHIVE competition!
Nothing says "Christmas like stedicams, jib arms and directing the shoot for the Lack St Anne Community Choir and Joe Sauer Big Band. Always fun with Skype Boat Productions.
We are the tech for this event ... look for us as we help with the Social Media Wall with Andrew Paul and running audio for the Louise Dawson band. We'll be back on Sunday for the Family Fun Film Fest Edmonton Short Film Festival providing equipment for the cool green screen event and hosting Kids' Karoke!
Fantastic event today, supporting the Edmonton Short Film Festival at their Filmmaking Master Class.
Today - August 15 - midnight ...
There are several great projects ... we are biased, but hope you check them all out and vote for up to 5 projects today and tomorrow morning! Looking forward to working with the team at the Edmonton Short Film Festival again this year!
Wow! Second awesome gig in a week. Worked the show for Dreamcatcher Foundation ... Tech Director and last minute (literally) Stage Manager! Great show ... Prism and all the other artists were fantastic!
Skye Boat Productions was the technician for this event. We set up the equipment for musician at the intermission, tested and operated the video projection equipment and ran the show! Great event ... congratulations to Groove Soldier Productions and the Edmonton Short Film Festival, and to the winning filmmaker, Jason Jeffery for "Family". http://bit.ly/1gqmt1g
It's been a good spring for Skye Boat! We've done some weddings, community events and stage productions ... looking forward to a good summer!

Thanks, Ashley Bryson, for liking Skye Boat! Let us know if we can be of service.
Bought a new computer to handle the video production jobs we did this month ... it eats into the profits, but should be worth it!
GREAT gig last night ... ended up teching for three bands! Two rock and one screamo.
Tonight, working the sound for a live band at Newcastle Pub (Ottewell Plaza - 90 Ave and 69 St) ... come on down!
This month we'll be taping and editing a training video for the RCMP/Commissionaires.
So far this year, Skye Boat has done equipment repair; operated sound, powerpoint, and video for worship services and a funeral; and reproduced CDs ... next up: audio production and post-production for a pipe band! It's gonna be a good year. Keep us in mind for your special events!
