Just wanted to thank you all for supporting our small business! The lesson program is currently fully booked, waitlist included. It is important to me to keep my lessons and training as high quality as possible and as such, I can't take on too many. Mares aren’t always well liked and for the same reasons strong women aren’t. Opinionated? Those opinions are not without good cause and maybe you can't figure ...them out or maybe you just don’t like her opinion of you. Change it and she will always be on your side. Stubborn? She just won’t let you bulldoze her. Treat her with respect and her resilience will be an asset to you. Difficult? You just can’t handle her. You don’t have what it takes. Stick with geldings then, and leave the mare for someone who understands her and appreciates the same qualities society has subtlety taught you not to like. Here’s to mares, to strong women, and to those who CAN and DO appreciate them! ~ The Evolving Equestrian

Dear Sky Haven Competitors, It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of our June and July horse shows for 2020. This decision was not made lightly, but we will continue to follow best-practices for social distancing so that we can all come together and compete when this pandemic has passed. In addition, we know that many horses and riders are just beginning to return to a routine and a new normal, and we do not wish to risk our equine partners by pushing th...e limits for the sake of competition. Decisions are still being made concerning the August show, and the potential for fall events. We are looking into lots of options and hope that we can see you all again soon! Show Announcement: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of May hunter/jumper show. We understand that this is a difficult time for all, however we will stand by the decision made by Equine Canada to close all shows for the safety of everyone involved. It is our hope that we will be able to run the June, July and August shows as scheduled and are looking to reschedule our May show if at all possible.
