Hello friends The lodge received so many booking requests that we need a little time to get back to you as people get time off work to confirm their request. May into July is very busy like last year. The larger cabins are almost fully booked for the first 7 weeks of the year. The smaller log cabins are not far behind. ... The lodge is excited about 2021 and we are very pleased that people can get away to a covid safe place that allows social distancing to happen without effort from our guests. We expect all guests to behave like last year to allow us to continue to provide a unique rustic adventure in a pristine area of British Columbia. Sweet fishing dreams for just 4 months. Hello friends Sky Hi Lodge security is keeping busy during the off season. Weekends are filling up with people wanting to get away and secure a place to go. This is the earliest that so many weekends have been booked solid. 4 of the 7 weekends to start the season are full with the other 3 having only a couple of cabins left. I have sent out emails to regulars to get on it and this is one more reminder to not delay. ... Hihium lake fishing in the last couple of years has been excellent to the best ever for some of our guests. The lodge promotes catch and release with the larger natural stock over 5lbs to help preserve and protect fishing for years to come. The average fish size has been in the 14 to 18" range. Sky Hi Lodge offers a very rustic adventure of off the grid, no running water, outhouses and cabins with wood heating cooking stoves. Hello friends The lodge would like to wish everyone a safe holiday this year. 2021 bookings are filling up the buildings from May to July long weekend. This is our busiest part of our season so do not delay if you wish to visit during this time. 4 of those weekends are sold out with the other 3 having only one or two buildings left. ... The security team is resting and of course Rayne is growing daily. She is almost as tall as Dixie. Rayne has the same temperament when she was 9 weeks old and will be as big as predicted. Hello friends -18 this morning at 7:30. I actually got up to light the fire this morning before crawling out from under the warm blankets. Rayne agrees its warmer under them than on top. I believe I can see open water down the lake. Anybody got an ice breaker size boat?... The ice is thick enough on this end to walk on. So beautiful and very peaceful. The whiskey jacks are the only audible sound besides the thump thump of the dogs paws. They are going to have a tough time leaving for the winter. This is a dogs dream life up here. Sky Hi Lodge
