Skyway to Heaven Church

We are excited to welcome Tammy and Richard Morrison to Skyway to Heaven Church this Sunday, December 6th at 10:30 a.m. Here is a little bit of background on them and their music ministry. Don't miss out. Richard Morrison got his start in music when he received his first guitar at the age of 2 so when he got saved in the 90’s, the natural thing to do was to join a worship team. Tammy Morrison got her start in music as a young girl who loved to sing but when she got saved in the 90’s singing for the Lord became her passion. For many years they both served on or lead worship teams and so it’s no surprise they met in church while both serving Since meeting they formed a duet called Hearts to Heaven Ministries and together they travel to special care homes and churches sharing their love of music and their love for the Lord.

Good evening church family. Just a little reminder that Sunday is the 1st Sunday of the month, so that means we will celebrate Communion together. Please remember to bring your own emblems

A little note from Pastor Ray: Hello Church Family; Just a quick reminder that we will be meeting inside the Church Sanctuary for tomorrow's service which begins at 10:30 am.... Just a few things: 1. Social distancing is in effect even during the Church service. Herb has marked the chairs inside the Sanctuary with an "X" to ensure that we are seated 6 feet apart. Family bubbles are an exception (ie. couples, family, etc. may sit together). 2. There will be no food or beverages served after the service. 3. Hand sanitizers will be available. 4. Face masks are not required however they will be made available to anyone who wishes to wear one. 5. COMMUNION: Tomorrow is the first Sunday of the month. Therefore communion will be celebrated. We cannot distribute the elements of the communion due to COVID-19. Please bring your own bread and juice for the service. I'm looking forward to our first service in the Sanctuary since March 15th! **UPDATE My Dear Church Family; As a follow-up to my e-mail yesterday, I wanted to update you on our Church Service tomorrow. The forecast is calling for a possibility of rain showers tomorrow morning therefore I am preparing a video sermon to take the place of our parking lot service.... I am very excited by this sermon. Some of you may be aware that Laura and I were involved in a car accident in Moncton on Monday. Without giving any further details, I learned a HUGE LESSON about the HOLY SPIRIT which I cannot wait for you to hear!!! An update from Pastor Ray regarding Sunday services this week. Dear Church Family; It seemed so promising!... This coming Sunday was supposed to be our first Church service inside the Sanctuary!... But, as many of you already know, it is not to be. The issue in Campbellton has pushed the government plans to begin Part 2 of the Yellow Phase to next week. So our plans for this coming Sunday will be much like last week. God of course has the final say, and if things change I will let you know. We can rejoice in the fact that we can still meet in the parking lot! Although the parking lot is not ideal, many Churches are still not able to meet at all, but hopefully this will change for all Churches. The eternal message of the Gospel is critical for all. We will be celebrating Pentecost Sunday and the message will focus on the Holy Spirit. I can't wait to hear what God wants to tell us about His Spirit! See you all on Sunday! Blessings, Pastor Ray

A message from Pastor Ray regarding services on Sunday. Dear Church Family; There have been many individuals who have approached me yesterday and today, excited about the prospect of having a regular Church service this coming Sunday in the Sanctuary. This confusion has arisen from the Provincial Government's implementation of Phase III (Yellow) effective today (Friday May 22nd). The clause which permits gatherings of 50 or less has been the source of confusion. While this c...lause is generally true, Churches and religious organizations as a whole, will have to wait for one more week. We will have the go-ahead to begin meeting in our Sanctuary on May 29th (which is a Friday). Therefore our Sunday service on the 31st of May will be in our Sanctuary. I know that this will be exciting news for many of us including me. In the meantime, our upcoming Sunday service (May 24th) will continue to be done in the parking lot. All the rules and guidelines that applied last week will continue. I look forward to getting some sunshine on Sunday and glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ with you! Blessings, Pastor Ray

Join us for Drive-In church tomorrow morning at 10:30 :-) Dear Church Family; Our Sunday service will be a drive-in style similar to the service held two weeks ago. It will begin at 10:30 am.... Please note the following rules and guidelines given to us by the city and the province: 1. Cars must be parked 6 feet apart. 2. Unfortunately, no one may enter the Church (use of the washroom facilities is not permitted). 3. Tithes and Offerings cannot be collected. Your envelopes can be placed in the Church mailbox or simply e-transfer your donations. 4. Phase 2 of the provincial guidelines now allow up to 10 individuals to be outside following social distancing guidelines (6 feet apart). We will place 10 chairs to accommodate this. Dear Church; I am sorry that we could not meet like we did last week with another Drive-in Service. It was cold and windy this morning. The parking lot was full of snow and not very conducive to an outdoor service. We pray that next week will bring us good weather so that we can all meet together. I also pray that Phase 3 of New Brunswick's plan will be in place sooner than later, which will enable us to meet regularly in the Church building! Good morning and Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms, Grandmothers, and Great-Grandmothers ! Here is an update regarding church this morning: Dear Church; My apologies for sending this message a little late. I was hoping that we could enjoy another drive-in service tomorrow, but due to the inclement weather I cannot guarantee that the parking lot would be free enough of snow to allow our cars to drive on it.... Instead, a Mother's Day themed message will be distributed a little later tomorrow via YouTube and Facebook. I will send you an e-mail with the appropriate link on Sunday. In the meantime, let us honour our mothers with the love of Christ in our hearts. It is through their many sacrifices, their tenacious protection, their unconditional love and their tender care for us that we are, where we are. Many would give their very lives for us as Christ did, without any hesitation, reluctance, or expectations in return. Good morning everyone. Some exciting news to share today. We are having Drive-In church tomorrow morning at Skyway!! Here is an email from Pastor Ray outlining the guidelines that are to followed. Blessings :-) We are going to have our Church services in the parking lot next to the Church this coming Sunday (May 3rd). The service will begin at our regular time of 10:30 am. I have been in contact with the Miramichi Police department and New Brunswick Public Safety and they bot...h provided their blessing towards our plan with the following guidelines: 1. Cars must be parked no closer than 2 metres apart (12 feet). 2. No one can leave their cars. Please be sure to use washroom facilities PRIOR to arriving. 3. The police will be patrolling our area to ensure our safety and that the rules are being followed. 4. Services are limited to 50 vehicles (family units may travel in one vehicle) while participating in drive in style church (this includes both organizers and attendees). 5. Services should be limited to 1 hour. 6. Vehicles should be turned off to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning 7. Activities that could contribute to the spread of COVID-19 such as handshakes and hugs are to be avoided. Instead use a wave. 8. Microphones are not to be shared among staff. 9. Access to the building is not to be open to the public, including washrooms. 10.Attendees are to be advised prior to the service that all washrooms are unavailable. 11. In the event of communion, those in attendance would be responsible to bring their own supplies. These are the guidelines that I have been provided by both the Police and NB Safety. Future outdoor services are dependent on everyone following these rules. Next Sunday is the first Sunday of the month... therefore we will be celebrating COMMUNION! Please be prepared by bringing your own elements (bread & juice). We are not allowed to distribute these during our service. There will be no taking of tithes and offerings before, during or after the Church service. Many of you continue to faithfully provided your tithes and offerings by e-transfer (e-mail transfer) or by leaving an envelope in the Church mailbox. I encourage you to continue using these methods. I am excited to see everyone on Sunday even though we are confined to our vehicles. We are planning to have a "live" worship group that I know everyone will be looking forward to.
