After receiving direction from Alberta Chief Medical Officer and an interpretation from Transport Canada and as well in conversation with Dennis, I am sending the following update on impact to operations during the pandemic. I sent the statement below to Transport Canada this afternoon. Please be advised that Sky Wings Aviation Academy Ltd. has suspended all classroom ground school and aircraft flight training at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is our intent to offer ground school and prep ground instruction by use of electronic means where practical as well as flight training device training with proper social distancing measures. As well solo flights will be allowed and supervised by an instructor. We have placed signage on the outside of our facility to inform our customers/students of this decision.

Notice Regarding Access to Sky Wings during the COVID 19 Pandemic Because of the directives of the Alberta Chief Medical officer we are only open for fuel sales and solo flights or simulator training as of March 19, 2020. If you require fuel, please call our number and we will dispatch a refueller as soon as possible. (usually 30 minutes wait time) If you know approximately when you would need service you can make arrangements for a time specific as well.
