For as long as I can remember and even longer, the pinch pleat is the most popular and traditional style of pleat. The fabric is gathered into three folds ("three finger") and pinched together to create one pleat as seen here in the images. Even though this style pleat is considered "old school" it is still considered timeless and classic and still gets used in many drapery applications today!
