Gord Bushell has stepped down as General Manager for the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club. Gord has fulfilled the Manager's role tirelessly for the past 10 years, and his contribution will be sorely missed by the club. We wish Gord success in his new endeavors, and hope to see him on the trails this winter. -Gord Canfield EVSC President
Covid-19 Update: As per Rec Sites and Trails BC (our Provincial partner who authorizes our agreements to groom trails) "Effective immediately, recreation facilities where there is a risk of increased social contact, contact with frequently touched surfaces, and/or where monies are exchanged will be closed. This brings our club to the end of its season, as we will not be collecting or grooming.... The alpine cabins are not to be used, except where access is required due to an immediate safety concern (i.e., accident or injury requiring immediate and local assistance). Trails will remain open and may not be groomed or maintained during this time. Users assume all risks by continuing to use trails and are discouraged from taking unnecessary risks to avoid burdening health services." We thank all of you avid snowmobilers and supporters of our club who have made this a great season. See more
Please be advised, Mustang Powder will be open to the sledding community on Saturday, March 28th, 2020. Nick and Ali Holmes have always opened their doors to Club members and visiting backcountry users each year, and have graciously donated funds to our club. We want to return the favor, so please respect their operation until they are finished. They will also be using the parking lot for trips with their bus, so it is important that snowmobilers do not come until they have finished their operations on the roads and parking lot at km 13. (Parking lot gets clogged and they cannot turn the bus around.) Thank You!
The grooming of our trails continues. Please check the grooming report on the website nightly to get the most up to date info about trail conditions. https://sledsicamous.com/grooming-report/ Cool weather lately has helped to keep the trails in great shape. Enjoy your ride! : Ryan Keehn
In addition to the USB charge stations, we also have emergency toboggans in all four of the alpine cabins.
