The SCVFA at Firemen's Park remembers those who made the supreme sacrifice. Thank you to those who serve and protect so that we may continue to enjoy our rights and freedoms.

Heartfelt congratulations today to Ruth and Len Hershberger on their 65th Wedding anniversary. Len joined the SCVFA in 1967 and still serves his community, sitting on many of our committees. Ruth has also volunteered for us at countless events over those 53 years. Three cheers for Len and Ruth!

SCVFA members: Golf TOURNEY is still on.... just the dinner has been cancelled. Sorry for the confusion. We are at capacity for golf. No further tee time applications for the September 26th shot gun can be accepted.

Before and after shots. This is what happens at Fireman's park when you dump hot charcoal, or throw a still hot cigarette butt in a plastic trash container. Fire consumed everything, including the $150.00 lid. Thankfully the wood fascia boards on the pavilion did not catch fire. A reminder that under the Region's bylaw, there is no smoking in public parks.
