SLI observed two minutes of silence as a school community, by participating in a zoom Remembrance Day Ceremony. Mrs. Spence, teacher at SLI and currently serving in our Canadian Armed forces, lead the zoom ceremony.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AMENDMENT TO THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR THE YOUTH SECTOR The Ministry has added 3 Training and Planning days to the 2020-2021 Schoo...l Calendar for the Youth Sector to promote conditions conducive to the deployment of distance education services. At its November 10, 2020 meeting, the Council of Commissioners’ deposited, for public consultation, the amended 2020-2021 School Calendar for the Youth Sector by adding 3 Training and Planning days. These dates are as follows: November 26, 2020 December 15, 2020 January 27, 2021 Please click on the link below to access the Public Consultation document. SLI is proud to support The Royal Canadian Legion's Poppy Campaign. Although we will not be participating in our usual Remembrance Day Ceremonies SLI students are able to make a donation for a poppy. Should they wish to do so, please come to the front office.

Time for some Halloween fun! Although we couldn't do our usual SLI tricks and treats, students and staff still had a blast dressing up! Have a safe Halloween everyone!
