Huge thanks to Carole from PrAACtical AAC for sharing my video on using Proloquo4Text and Book Creator with Owen for remote learning assignments. If any of you have someone in your life who uses AAC and you aren’t yet following PrAACtical AAC then you are missing out! Carole Zangari shares resources that are, like the name suggests, practical and so helpful for families, teachers and speech therapy folk.

I love love love getting pictures of people enjoying the things I make. This Dino fan (he’s even got Dino pjs on!) wanted a golden T-Rex and I was more than happy to oblige. I always use @planetjune patterns for my crocheted dinos. They are sized just right for play and are a perfect combination of realistic and cute. Excited to soon be making another Dino (brachiosaurus this time) for @howiadornthee ... #hamontmakers #dinosaursofinstagram #amigurumitoys

Any interest in book recommendations for older kids/teens? I found an Indigo gift card I hadn’t used for some reason and ordered a couple of books for Owen and Oliver that we can read aloud together. One of them is the first in the Bone series which I think will appeal to Oliver especially. One of the things I find frustrating about most book list recommendations is that they focus pretty intensely on books for younger children and then jump straight to YA.... A lot of us have older kids who aren’t reading at their age level but don’t necessarily want to read books aimed at younger kids. If there’s interest then I can start putting together a list of books for the Holidays and Winter.

I feel so seen...! Hope my fellow Canadians are enjoying the long weekend. I am loving the lack of remote learning for three whole days.
