It's our tenth year of hosting the Scarecrow Festival! We'd love to see you Thanksgiving weekend, but we're doing things differently this year. Book a half-hour time slot for you & your bubble: space is very limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

It’s okay If you’re burning With anger Or sadness Or both... It is necessary For you to collapse So you can learn How phoenixes are Reborn When they burn And rise again From the ashes of Their existence. - poem by Noor Unnahar For the 11th year in a row, we have hung a banner on our silo at this time of year. Traditionally it signals the beginning of a busy summer, and we mark the occasion with a festive silobration and potluck feast. This year there was no party, just three good friends who visited briefly, wearing gloves and masks, and helped us hoist the banner and keep the tradition alive. The first thing to rise is the banner; the second thing is you. #artinisolationpec #silobration #putabirdonit #silo #rise #riselikeaphoenix #phoenix #banner #princeedwardcounty #thecounty #countyup #countyarts #artinthetimeofcorona #artinthetimeofcovid

A huge thank you to everyone who made our 9th annual Scarecrow Festival such a great success! Your generosity is just what we needed to help fund The Firelight Lantern Festival! Special thanks to our volunteers: Terry Veevers, Ryan Henderson, Milé Murtanovski, Susanne Larner, Jeff Forrester, Aislinn Forrester, Alysa Hawkins, and Alison Lawtey, our guest bakers Katie Green, Ruth Gangbar and Shelby Larner; thanks to Zunior Dave and Helen Hawketts for bringing Lemonade Dave and ...Pour Over Coffee Co. and who donated all their proceeds of the weekend; thanks to Ben Cowan for the straw, which is pretty much the biggest hit of all, to Picton Home Hardware for building our scarecrow frames, and to 99.3 County FM for their sponsorship.Thank you to our community for all your donations of clothing and for supporting our event year after year, and to my mom Deborah Mayko, who is helping me clean up today. I so thankful for each and every one of you! Happy Thanksgiving! ~ Krista See more
