Jerry at Small Time Electric. He’s a Master Electrician who runs his own small, local, family-business with his sons. I’ve hired him twice and my Mother has hired him once. He also took a couple of hours out of his day to chat with me as part of my school application when I was considering becoming an Electrician. It’s been years since I’ve needed an electrician so I’m not sure if he’s still in business but he’s worth contacting. Most of the jobs he’s done for us have been on... the small side but he’s meticulous and really ensures that he is doing what’s best for the clients. My first experience with him was selling a condo where he was my fourth quote. First three tried to rip me off for $10K and had me convinced I needed all kinds of stuff. Him? As soon as he realized I was told I had to replace/upgrade all the electrical in a basement that I was selling as unfinished (because I had removed the drywall) he was like, Um, nope!. Pulled all my shitty wiring out, fixed any safety issues throughout the condo, and barely charged me a thing. He was like, if it’s unfinished and that’s what you’re priced for, then you sell it like a new basement would be. No point spending cash you won’t get back. Realtors and the new buyer loved the clean slate. Other than that, it’s been all small stuff - ran power to our garage pad, added an extra exterior plug, and fixed some plugs at my Mom’s place when I noticed some sparking. Always professional, clean, and thorough. His son was training with him for a couple of jobs and I really liked the integrity he was teaching him. If his number doesn’t come up in a Google search, I can search around for it. I had gotten it from a friend.
