At SCM we've had the pleasure of interviewing hundreds of people to help tell the stories of neighborhoods, amazing businesses, and buildings all across Canada. Over the past several months we've been working on something a little bit different. Foundations is an original mini-series where we hear startup stories from local entrepreneurs and how they’ve navigated the process of finding and building homes for their creative manufacturing businesses. Although production halt...ed with the onset of this challenging time, we wanted to share a trailer to shine some light on the amazing businesses that let us in on their experiences. We have been keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation and the impacts it’s had around the world. We hope you are all staying safe and healthy out there. As we see announcements coming out from organizations around the world, we thought we would share a quick update on the status of Smart City Media. We will remain fully operational during this time.... With the technology and resources we’ve built and continue to use to film and produce our videos, we've created the ability to produce videos across the Country without leaving our office (or homes, if it comes down to it!). Our internal infrastructure allows everyone on our team to collaboratively access our servers and computing power remotely. Our animated maps, 3D space visualizations, and other snazzy effects are produced by our talented team and their computers. We have a massive database of footage and photography to pull geographically specific content from. We've built our a talent network across the country, and fortunately for our teams, capturing footage can be an individual experience not requiring much interaction. Stay safe, everyone.
