The time has come! Gradual restart of health care services, including ALL denturism care. Smile Care Denture Centre welcomes back all existing and new patients to our clinic. Special precautions are taken to insure both safe and effective procedures. Anyone needing denturism care, especially emergency or urgent services, should have an opportunity to receive it. Our team members are equipped with required Personal Protective Equipment, Sanitizing and Disinfection Solutions/Wi...pes. Our denture clinic also utilizes Surgically Clean Air Filtration Systems. Please review the changes we have implemented to keep our patients safe: 1Treatments can be scheduled by Appointment Only, no walk in appointments at this time. Please call ahead to reserve your appointment. If you are feeling unwell, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment. 2Appointments will be staggered to minimize patient interaction in the waiting area, adequate time between each patients allocated to clean and disinfect treatment rooms and high touch contact surfaces. 3Waiting room area had been modified to observe social distancing, all unnecessary items: magazines, decorations, high-touch items that are difficult to clean and disinfect were removed. Plexiglass barriers have been added in the reception desk area. 4Please call our office phone number: 905-823-8873 upon arrival to be admitted to the clinic as the door will be locked. 5Hand sanitizing stations are set up in the clinic. Please sanitize your hands, put on mask and gloves provided. Do not enter the clinic wearing your own gloves. 6We will prescreen for Covid-19 again in person and your temperature will be taken with an infrared thermometer. 7Detailed record is kept of all the patients and visitors entering the clinic. Any individuals accompanying the patient will be limited to caregivers, substitute decision makers, guardians and these individuals will also be screened and have their temperature taken with a non-contact, infrared thermometer when they enter the clinic. 8Operatory room doors will remain closed during treatment and when not in use. We will be pre-screening our patients by asking specific questions during our screening procedure: The questions will be: 1. Have you travelled out of the country in the last 2 weeks? 2. Have you been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of 2019-nCoV? 3. Have you been in close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has been out to an affected area in the last 2 weeks? What you can do: 1. If you do not feel well or feel that you are at risk, call our office we will reschedule your appointment for you 2. Washing your hands with soap and water frequently helps 3. Using hand sanitizer as an extra precaution also helps 4. Wiping down all 'high touch' surfaces frequently with disinfectant will help protect your family members Health officials in Canada maintain there is a low risk of people encountering the virus.
