The Covid-19 situation has impacted so many lives and businesses in so many ways. I have been very lucky to have completed all of the scheduled Christmas Minis, but have been forced to reschedule other shoots due to the regulations. I wanted to write from the prospective of a business owner, for the many people out there who are angry/upset/confused/etc, and who have directed those feelings onto us. Please know - our business and our product/service that we provide to our cl...ients/customers is one of the most important aspects that shapes our life - in most cases, to the very core of our being. We thrive on the feeling of making someone else smile, and we love seeing the final result. It's so important to keep this in mind when we say we have to close our doors, or limit our hours, or say "no" to shooting your special day. It literally breaks our heart, because there is nothing more that we'd love to be doing. But we are no more in control of the situation as you are. We are people - hard working and trying to make a living so we can pay our bills and feed our families. And in order to continue offering you the same service you have come to trust, we need to play nicely by the rules set in place. If we don't, the fines that will be issued are enough to shut our doors forever. In a world where you can choose anything - choose kindness. Words I truly believe in my heart, and strive to live by. Send your favourite local businesses some love on their Facebook pages. Let them know you're missing them, and you're still here - waiting for them to open their doors again. You have no idea what that little bit of kindness will do for a business owner who's heart is breaking, because their business - the baby they've nurtured and watched grow - may be on the brink of dying. Your positive thoughts could be the very breath that keeps them alive. <3 **This was not a personal cry for help - I love you all! However, I am very lucky to have a second job. Most businesses only have one income. This is just to remind people to give a shoutout to someone in need of something you can't buy.**

Happy Monday! I hope lockdown has been going well for all, and that all parents have transitioned back into Teacherhood without too many hiccups. I've been keeping busy getting creative! Good morning all! I know Christmas minis just ended this year, but I have to start teasing you for next year’s hahahaha. I just came up with the most funnest idea. I’m not giving it away today (cause I don’t want any other photographers stealing my idea ) plus it’ll be fun to drop hints throughout the year. But trust me, it’s going to be so fun and perfect!!!! This is what happened last year...I came up with the idea to this year’s and it could not have been any better. But I will need to get props ready and they will take time. It has been an amazing 2020 Christmas Mini season. I cannot thank each and every one of you enough. We were able to collect a total of 180 toys!!! Can you believe it?!? Almost matched last year's total of 200! The toys that fit McMaster's COVID regulations will be dropped off to them (under the size of a pillow, no stuffies, etc...) and the rest will be dropped off to one of the local women's shelters. I hope you all have the most amazingly magical Christmas/Holiday season wi...th your families (as much as you can), and a wonderful New Year! <3 Sarah
