Preparing for Your Procedure You must not eat any solid foods during the 6-hour window prior to your procedure. This is very important. Your procedure may be cancelled if you have eaten during this time-frame. Clear fluids can be taken up to 2 hours prior to the procedure. Clear fluids are water, apple juice, cranberry cocktail, black coffee or plain tea. Do not add milk or cream to your coffee or tea. STOP drinking alcohol 24 hours before your surgery... On the day of your procedure please wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up past the elbow. Post-Sedation Instructions A responsible adult will need to take you home and be with you for the remainder of the day. You will be unable to drive a vehicle, operate hazardous machinery or consume alcohol for a minimum of 18 hours or longer if drowsiness or disorientation persists. These guidelines must be observed even if you feel good to do so.

UPDATE: This week the Alberta Dental Association provided guidelines for Dental Offices to open beyond an emergency capacity as of May 14th, 2020. This is very exciting news and our office is working diligently refining our re-opening plan. We will soon be contacting patients in an effort to begin the rescheduling process. Our most important mandate is to ensure the safety of patients, staff and the community. There will be protocols in place that will make your dental visit ...very different from the ones we are all used to. In order to meet the highest standards of care, there has to be an adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and staff training. We have been trying for weeks to acquire all things necessary to make your appointment safe and comfortable. It is our goal to open our doors to regular dental care sometime next week. Our Doctors and Staff are doing our absolute best to answer all calls and emails from our patients.
