We know the majority of people in Alberta have not travelled over the Christmas holidays; however, if you did leave the country recently, please be advised that as per the ADA&C and AHS, anyone who has left the country is not permitted in the dental office for 14 days after your return to Canada, even if you have participated in the rapid-testing available. (This rule applies to patients AND staff, although no need to worry as none of our staff have travelled recently.)

It's time for our annual Strathcona Food Bank drive! Bring in your donation of food or cash and be entered to win a Sonicare toothbrush. This drive will run from Tuesday, December 1st until Tuesday, December 22nd (all donations must be in by 5pm on the 22nd). The COVID-19 pandemic has caused stress and uncertainty in so many aspects of life. One of the biggest downfalls has been a financial one. At SmileSense we understand that while your dental health is a priority finances can often hinder your ability to visit the dentist. To help out his patients Dr. Dan has reduced some fees for Preventative Dental Services by 10%. These reduced fees are in effect from June 1, 2020 until December 31, 2020.... The procedures with reduced fees are: Recall Exams, New Patient Exams, Bitewing X-Rays, Panoramic X-Rays, and Scaling Units.

Hi to all of our SmileSense patients! We hope this update finds you all safe, healthy and enjoying the nice weather! We understand that your routine dental care has been postponed and you likely have questions and concerns regarding when that care can resume. We are continuing to provide URGENT and EMERGENCY dental care at this time. To find out what falls into those categories, please phone the office or Dr. Dan's cell phone.... We are waiting for further guidelines from the Alberta Dental Association & College and the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta regarding when we can start providing routine dental care. Our staff will be communicating with you when that happens. We have implemented additional precautions on top of our already very stringent Infection Control Procedures in order to welcome you safely into our office. These new precautions will change the way you visit the clinic. We will provide you with everything you need to know when you book an appointment.
