We are currently seeking experienced and apprentice Installers as well as Helpers, for Hardwood and Laminate Installation. Hours of operations are normally Monday through Friday, but may be required to work an occasional weekend. Primary Responsibilities: Installation of laminate, hardwood and engineered floorin...g Installation of tile, wall, backsplashes and flooring Preparation of surfaces, ie grinding, correcting subfloor levels Changing tile, repairing tile Installation of custom showers, with niches, seats, etc Installation of custom borders, inserts and accents Installation of DITRA Preparation of surfaces, such as grinding and correcting subfloor levels Changing boards, repairing flooring Cutting doors, custom transitions Installation of moulding, baseboards, nosing Installation of picture frame with hardwood Perform minor repairs to equipment Professionalism in customer service Other Duties as assigned Qualifications: Drivers License Competency in ability to use both hand and power tools. Competency in measuring and marking guidelines. Ability to load and unload materials from vans Good communication, reading and writing skills Safety minded Ability to follow standard procedures Ability to identify problems and select the most appropriate solution Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a limited time frame and co-ordinate with others Training will be provided Rate of Pay: To be negotiated, depending on experience. Hours of operation is normally Monday through Friday, but may be required to work occasional weekend. Ability to follow standard procedures, but make appropriate decisions when exceptions arise Ability to work without supervision and perform appointed job in a responsible and trustworthy manner Rate of Pay: To be negotiated, depending on experience. I'm really pleased with the work done by Smitco, we had you do the entire ground floor of our house, with the installation of laminate in the kitchen, the tile installed in the entranceway, the installation of hardwood in the fireplace room and refinishing our old existing hardwood floors.
