The Institute for Sustainable Finance (ISF) announced that Canada’s big five banks have committed $5 million to support its mission of aligning mainstream financial markets with Canada’s transition to a lower carbon economy. On Wednesday, Sept. 30, members of the Smith community proudly donned orange in honour of Orange Shirt Day, an annual observance recognizing the residential school experience in Canada and its impact on Indigenous communities. Smith joined members from across Queen's University in honouring the journey of survivors and their families by educating and raising awareness of the history of residential schools and the legacy they've left behind.
