Whether hosting events such as the Business Awards, New Business Reception, Northwest Trade Expo, All Candidates Forums, Roundtables and more. We understand the challenges facing our members, and we are working tirelessly on our member’s behalf. Remember all the special occasions you have shared with family and friends at a #local restaurant, coffee shop or brewery? Let's help support them in a time when they need it most. Challenge yourself, your family and colleagues to order food from a #local restaurant twice a week for one month. Share your meal on social media and tag the restaurant to show them some love. Visit www.EATandStay.ca for a list of cafes, bakeries and restaurants. #shoplocalsupportlocal #ShopSmithersBC #SmithersBC #SmithersChamber #staylocal #supportlocal #smithersglad #restaurantsarefamily Photo credit: Telly's Grill and Blue Water Sushi
We would like to congratulate Taryn Cutler from Seabridge Gold Inc.'s Smithers office for winning the 2021 Indigenous Student Trailblazer Award by Women in Mining Canada. The Indigenous Student Trailblazer Award is awarded to young indigenous women in post-secondary studies, college, vocational training and university who are successful integrating into the minerals and metals industry. The women considered for this award are establishing a path in mining and inspiring other young indigenous women to join the industry's ranks, while retaining their connection to their culture and traditions. Congratulations to Taryn!
