Renovations are still underway here at Smokehouse 93. Unfortunately taking longer then we'd hoped. We will be opening up on the 9th just in time for Thanksgiving! Sorry for any inconvenience.
It's been a full year to the day that we opened for business as Smokehouse 93. I could tell you about how difficult it was by opening in the fall and missing the summer, about covid coming into play and having to adapt. But that's all negative, and I'm just not about that. I am beyond proud with what me and my team have achieved. We have built a brand and a following that's only growing stronger with each day. It just goes to show that if you put your nose to the grindstone ...and truly believe in your concept that the people will come. Make sure you have a unique and consistent product and you will have no doubts. Just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way in our first year. Allen Miller and Josh Miller from Invermere Home Hardware, Shawn from Arrowhead Brewery, Alex Naubert for introducing me to him and painting our wall, Sophie from Sophie's pickles, Adam Spencer and Dave PowChamp Fitzgerald for building stuff for brisket buns , Taynton bay electrical, Max Helmer Construction , Crystal Ketel Leonard and the Stolen Church Coffee team, Kerstan Hopkins from Hopkins Harvest (and Matt), Richard Matthews and Josh Wall from Ullr Bar, Pat Carrick and Pete Bourke from the Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Valley Sign artists, Local View Printing, and last but not least my beautiful girlfriend Jennifer Beverley , she hasn't left me yet for working 12-14 hours days for a year. I think she might just stick around I know I'm forgetting some. This is what it means to be a community based business. Everyone help everyone and we will all succeed. There's so much coming down the pipe for Smokehouse 93, can't wait to write another post like this in 2021.
Make sure to lock in those pre-orders for the long weekend!
We will be closed today for a deep clean of our restaurant and kitchens. See you tomorrow!
One year ago today we did our second pop-up during construction of the restaurant. Proud to say we are still in business with plans to expand! Can't thank the valley enough for all of the support!
Happy Canada Day!!!
