Today on Administrative Professionals Day and everyday, we are grateful for our smart and dedicated team! Thank you for creating the friendly and professional environment that our clients have come to know. Since our staff and lawyers are working from home, we can’t enjoy our usual celebration together. Instead we’re wishing them a great Administrative Professionals Day from a safe physical distance!

COVID-19 UPDATE: We are posting to update all of our clients about the status of our office, and necessary changes and protocols we have put in place during this trying time. First, we want to assure our clients that we will remain operational during this time of crisis. At the present time, our office is closed to the public except by prior arrangement, and personal meetings will only occur for the signing of essential, time-sensitive documents. Rigorous sanitation protoc...ols are in place for these meetings, and we will ensure necessary social distance to mitigate any risk. Otherwise, meetings shall take place by phone or video conference, and of course we are all still available by email to assist you. All of our lawyers and staff have the ability to work from home, and we will continue to be available to our clients as we navigate this crisis. The closing of the courts to all matters with the exception of emergencies has created difficulties for many clients, especially those attempting to resolve ongoing family matters. We have the ability to conduct mediations by video conference, which we hope will be helpful. Melanie Del Rizzo, Q.C. is a certified mediator with 25 years experience in resolving family disputes. Certainly, mediation of these types of matters are usually best done face to face, but there are many times that this is not possible or advisable, and this is one of those times. Using video conferencing for mediation is a way to use technology to resolve matters when the courts are not available to assist. While many other civil matters can wait until the courts reopen, issues involving parenting schedules and support often cannot wait. As well, with the closures of schools and disputes concerning appropriate Covid-19 protocols, many other unforeseen challenges are now facing separated and divorced parents. Sometimes reaching a resolution together is difficult without assistance. Please contact us should you wish to avail of this service.
