These shelters offer pathways for women and children experiencing abuse or at risk of being homeless. I am asking for your support with a donation. It’s always been adults saying ‘this is what’s going to happen’ I wanted to hear from the kids, says Marcia on why she started Trust15. The community support organization runs five remarkable city pro...grams mentoring youth from seven to nineteen years of age and helping them develop skills integral to their future success, like literacy, public speaking and confidence building. But not every child has access to the same opportunities, and a shift to online services during COVID-19 meant that many youth members could no longer partake in this crucial programming. To thank Marcia for her selfless actions and help her share hope within her community, TD Bank’s #TDThanksYou campaign recently surprised Marcia with 50 new laptops. The reward means the world to Marcia, who says many of her parents work multiple jobs yet were still unable to afford the technology for their children. And as for what’s next, Marcia explains there’s interest in expanding programming throughout the city of Toronto and possibly, across Canada!
