Hello friends! In these worrisome times, we wanted to update you all about what we here at Snowking’s Winter Festival are working on in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic: Public safety has always been and remains our number one priority. We have been reaching out to the Chief Public Health Officer to ensure we are aware of how to manage any potential risks and are following our public health experts’ recommendations for outdoor events. At present, Health and S...ocial Services says the risk of acquiring COVID-19 in the NWT is low. There are no known cases in the NWT. Additionally, outdoor events are considered safer than indoor gatherings. And so, our festival remains open. With all this in mind, please do what you feel is best for yourself and your loved ones. Let’s all be safe and kind to one another - and practice good hygiene! We recognize that this is an evolving story and commit to provide you with up-to-date information as it becomes available. We will continue to post updates on social media channels, our website and at the snow castle.
