Winter is here!!! With all this new snow (maybe too much snow!) comes a host of winter activities. Skiing, snowboarding, hockey, skating.....Tis the season to be active. Unfortunately with these fun activities come many slips, falls, and injuries. A very common injury when it comes to winter sports is falling on an outstretched hand, also known as "FOOSH". When the arm is outstretched it is put in a vulnerable position, add a fall or impact to this and you have a recipe for disaster! This type of injury can lead to muscle strains, tears, and joint dysfunction. At Strength-N-U our therapists use a wide variety of techniques to help break down scar tissue, restore mobility and accelerate the natural healing process to get you back on the slopes in no time! #SNU #slipandslide #handsontherapy

Heel pain? Sore arches on your feet? Knee pain? Hip pain? Have you ever experienced any of these symptoms? Our feet act as a base to stabilize, support, and propel our body into motion. The average person may take anywhere from 1000-10000 steps a day!!! Our feet play an important role in our body mechanics. A small dysfunction can compound over time pushing issues up the kinetic chain negatively impacting the function of other joints in the body. This is known as the ground up effect. At Strength-N-U we offer custom fit orthotics to suit your individual needs. Orthotics help put our feet in a proper position to evenly distribute weight along our foot and encourage proper body mechanics. When is the last time you had your feet checked? Come in for a free consultation! #feetfirst #orthotics #painfree
