The Bakery Department has reopened their service case today! The rest of the fresh departments will be reopening their cases in the coming weeks. The bakery is still unable to take in products that have already been placed on the shelves to either slice (bread) or to write on cakes. If you need a cake written on, you are asked to please order ahead the day before. This way you are not disappointed

Hey folks, we just want to give a friendly reminder to all of our customer to please support physical distancing of 6 feet (or 2m) from your fellow customers and from all our employees throughout the store. We have placed arrows on the floor to help navigate you throughout the store as you shop. We have a hand washing station just through the entrance as this is our BEST defence against COVID 19. We would like to ask that only 1 family member per household come to the store at a time, to do your shopping, and try to limit your visit to once per week. The bakery department has a new brand of Bagels! They are Fancy Pokket and they are produced in New Brunswick. There are 6 flavours available: sesame, whole wheat, multigrain, everything, Chocolate Chip and Blueberry! A six pack for $2.50, regular $3.29.

At Sobeys, the health and wellness of our teammates and customers remains our very top priority. In our effort to do everything we can to help keep our communities healthy, as of Friday, March 20, 2020, we are temporarily changing our store operating hours to 8am - 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am - 8pm Sunday. This measure will provide our incredibly hard-working front-line teams with more time to restock our shelves and complete necessary cleaning and sanitizing procedures, while ensuring some much deserved time to rest.

Our stores will be devoting the first hour of grocery operations to those most vulnerable and those who require extra attention, particularly seniors. Starting this Friday, March 20th, Seniors Shopping Hour will take place daily at our store from 7am to 8am. We need your help to make this happen. Please allow seniors to be the only ones in our store for the first hour.

Dietitian tip: for an easy breakfast, serve l...eftover beans with toast and fruit on the side. Or use as a filling for burritos and quesadillas. East Coast-Style Slow Cooker Beans Prep time: 15 minutes Soak time: 12 hour Total time: 20 hours 30 minutes Serves: 6 Ingredients: *1 lb 500 g Dried navy beans (*see below) cup 175 mL Dried pitted dates, chopped 1 cup 250 mL Tomato sauce cup 75 mL Tomato paste 1 slice Bacon, finely chopped 1 Large onion, diced 3 cloves Garlic, minced 1 tbsp 15 mL Finely chopped fresh thyme tsp 2 mL Mustard powder tsp 2 mL Each salt and pepper Directions: 1. Rinse beans, place in bowl, add water to cover and soak 12 hours. Drain and place in slow cooker (4.5 to 6 L capacity). 2. In heatproof bowl, stir together dates and 2 cups (625 mL) boiling water; let stand 15 minutes. 3. Add the dates and soaking water to the slow cooker. Mix in tomato sauce, tomato paste, bacon, onion, garlic, thyme, mustard powder, salt and pepper. 4. Cover and cook on LOW setting 8 hour, stirring occasionally, until beans are tender. Serve with a side salad and roll for supper. *Instead of soaking beans overnight, cook them quickly in a multi-cooker: Place 1 lb (500 g) dried navy beans and 8 cups (2 L) water (or to cover) in multi-cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH PRESSURE 12 minutes, or until beans are tender. Drain and rinse before using in recipe. ..
