Great News!!!! We are opening up some of our open spaces. This includes Tweed Memorial Park, Moira Park, Mccamon Park, Fairgrounds Track, and the Soccer Field. ...We will begin to start opening up some recreation areas in stages. Playgrounds and Outdoor Fitness Equipment remain closed. Organized sports are not allowed on municipal property due to the province of Ontario's COVID-19 mandate of 5 people or less and keeping 6 feet apart. When opening up parks the province states "To ensure that individuals and families have safe access to outdoor spaces, it is critical they take everyday steps to reduce exposure to the virus, such as maintaining physical distancing by staying two metres apart from anyone outside of their household, washing hands regularly, and staying home if feeling unwell." We ask residents to please follow the Province of Ontario's COVID-19 guidelines so we can keep our parks open. Thank you.

We hear your concerns, and we share them. The situation continues to change rapidly, and we are doing our best to make the right decision for the youth in our community. At this time we have decided to postpone our season until further notice. We will continue to talk and reassess as the situation continues. We absolutely WANT to see our kids out having fun and getting exercise. But in addition to our 300 players, we also have to keep in mind the health and safety of our 40+ ...volunteer coaches, six referees, and 10 Tweed Soccer Association members. We must consider the impact of our municipally owned field and buildings that host our registrations, 22 sponsors, our insurance company, our jersey/equipment/medal/paint suppliers, and local rep leagues we work closely with.
