GET YOUR VITAMIN D. I was at Lee Park this week, and knew there was a skating area, but I didn't realize that the city had created a skating trail in the area. I spoke to someone and learned that there's about 1km of trail to enjoy. It's lovely, and a great way to get outside, get that much needed vitamin D; the outdoors are good for your mental health during this second lockdown. Have you checked out the skating trail at Lee Park? Le me know in the comments.... #northbayontario #leepark #skatingtrail See more

I've started to focus more on self care this year; self care for my mental health in a very strange time in the world. Have you had low feelings off and on throughout the year? Me too. The items in this photo look more like they're for self comfort, and the movie and sweater definitely are. The book however makes me put down my phone, and slow down. The hot cup of tea, also forces me to slow down and savour my beverage.... Self care can look like going to bed earlier, meal prepping for the week ahead, and even tidying your surroundings. What are some ways that you take time for self care? Let me know. #selfcare #flatlays #selfcareisntselfish #readabook #movietime #sweaterweather #vulnerability #imlearning #taketimeforyou #teatime #maketimeforyou #cuppatea #socialmedialife #northbayontario #socialmediaforsmallbusiness See more

#FollowFriday This Friday, let your fingers do the walking and follow Gateway City Brewery Their website states the following: A group of friends looking to give back to their hometown the best way they know how. BEER! ... I’ve enjoyed choir videos from the brewery, as well as live musicians from the brewery floor. Here’s a bit of fun too, all you can play pinball is every Monday and Tuesday. The cost is $5 for a two hour time slot. Follow their page, and support these local brewers in doing what they love. I recently supported two Canadian, online merchants by purchasing their products, and remembered why online vendors are special. 1. They usually include a personalized thank you note. 2. They take time to interact with you online. 3. Remember waiting for something other than bills to come in the mail? The anticipation of waiting for my purchase was exciting.... 4. I enjoy sharing where I bought my special find with friends. Shopping local applies to Canadian, provincial and your community vendors. Whichever you choose, your dollars are supporting Canadian made products and fellow Canuks. Drop the names of your favourite Canadian online shops in the comments below for myself and others to browse. #shoplocal #shopcanadian #shoplocalonline #supportsmallvendors #supportindependentshops #shoplocalsaturday
