Make new friends, learn leadership skills, and have conversations on how we want to build LGBTQ2S+ communities at U of T and beyond! Our campuses, cities and co...mmunities thrive when LGBTQ2S+ students are supported in developing their leadership skills. Since 2009, the Lead with Pride (LWP) conference series has provided over a thousand students opportunities to gain skills to make a positive impact on U of T and beyond, to move our communities towards a more inclusive present and future for all of us. Though we are apart during COVID times, it is still important for us to connect with one another to meaningfully explore issues that impact our communities and to build our capacity to face these challenges together. The 2021 Lead with Pride Conference Series will be held virtually between February 24 March 11, 2021. All interested U of T students are welcome to register for free to be a part of the 2021 Lead with Pride Learning Community! Find more info: https://sgdo.utoronto.ca//lead-with-pride-lgbtq-student-l/ Check out conference program: https://sgdo.utoronto.ca//2021-LWP-Conference-Series-Learn

The Indigenous Education Network has released a statement in solidarity with the Six Nations Land Defenders at 1492 Land Back Lane, supporting their reclamation... efforts and condemning recent arrests. We join our colleagues at the Yellowhead Institute at Ryerson University in condemning the arrests and calling on the Attorney-General of Ontario to drop all charges against Courtney Skye and others arrested in relation to land defense on September 2nd. We amplify their calls for the Province of Ontario to develop policy prohibiting the use of injunctions on Indigenous people in cases of disputes over land use, and for the Federal Government to engage with the volumes of evidence on criminal justice reform and Land Back.
