Don’t leave people hanging when they shoot you a message While it’s always best to reply with a custom message, an auto response is a great thing to have in place in the meantime! You can set up a message so that every time someone messages you they get a message back right away. In this message you can let people know... how long a response should take a link to your website answers to any FAQ They’re especially great when you’re taking a little break from social for the weekend, a holiday, or a break. To set up an auto response head to your facebook and go to your inbox. Then go to your automations and click instant reply. You can toggle on the instant reply and then choose which platforms it goes on (Facebook and/or Instagram). Then, as soon as people message you, they’ll get your message. You can customize it with their name and other details. Set it and forget it! (Except don’t forget to make sure you keep it updated and still check your messages ). Guess who's back (back again) I've wrapped up my first day back in the office from maternity leave and it was weird, wonderful, and a tad bit overwhelming. I look forward to reviving this platform to provide education, inspiration, and a look at what's going on over here at Social Kat Media.... The day is here I am officially on maternity leave! Put a notice in your email footer Add an out of office note to your bio Set up message auto responses for Facebook & Instagram And then: Turn notifications off for social media apps Delete social media apps or just turn your phone off! How do you begin crafting your social media strategy? These 3 steps 1. Listen Before you post you need to LISTEN. What are people in your industry saying on social? More importantly, what is your audience saying on social? Learn as much about them as you can by finding accounts of your typical customer. What are their lives like? Who do they follow? What do they post. ... 2. Engage Engaging is the DOING! The fun part for many. Engaging means posting but it also means engaging with accounts. Do more than post. Strategize who to engage with and how you’re going to reach them online. 3. Measure Measurement is an important step to determine if what you’re doing is working. Measurement allows you to see what you should continue doing and what needs to change. When you’re building your strategy, include what you’ll measure and when. Now building a social media strategy is a lot more comprehensive than these 3 points but if you focus on these as a starting point, you’ll set yourself up for success.
