Socially Anxious People Person 08.11.2020

This was an incredibly powerful way to start my morning. Building a connected life....Different types of loneliness...The connection of shame and empathy...Self worth and it’s importance in connection...Mutual Vulnerability. The SAPP project has helped me so much in building a connected life! Thank you to all of you for helping me in this journey.

Beautiful People caring and sharing!

Socially Anxious People Person 31.10.2020

This morning the virus has me in self reflection. The SAPP project started almost exactly a year ago. My goal was set. Stop being fearful of people and give back some of the privilege I have had in my life to the community. I’ve truly met my goals. Not only are people no longer provoking fear but they are a true joy waiting behind every corner. The gift of connection has allowed me to see every single interaction as an opening for friendship, care, connection, love. Business ...banker....my new buddy. Personal organizer....my new buddy. People I trade or sell things to on marketplace...my new friends. Beautiful clients that I can’t simply say goodbye to after I photograph them...pals! Recently my parents Delcie Hill gifted me the funds to purchase a new car. Again, this unbelievable privilege I have. Pure luck that I was born into a family with not only the financial means to do these kinds of things for me, but to parents that prioritized doing them! How lucky am I?! Dealing with a car salesperson would be my all time most unpleasant situation imaginable. I was determined to negotiate a fair price and leave with a friend. Would you believe I did it?! This is a photo of Andrew and I. He sold me the car you see in the background. He’s a beautiful person. Hustling to make ends meet so he can spend quality time adventuring in the outdoors with his girlfriend. His girlfriend, Darby, is my new dog walker! They are lovely. In an ironic and what seems like a cruel twist of fate this virus has snatched it all away from me. Now in self isolation with almost no new interactions at all; The SAPP project shut down to protect the community and #flattenthecurve , I’m left to reflect on how privileged I was in this last year to connect with so many of you. Beautiful souls all living their lives with the passion before them and willing to let me in on their joy. I’m genuinely so thankful for each and every one of you. Be safe my friends! Love up your family (it’s about time I did mine after spending so much time in the community) and take the time to reflect on all the amazing people you have had a chance to connect with. Big love . I’m really struggling friends. My whole mantra is to push past fear to rid myself of it. It’s been working like a charm! But now covid-19. A mixture of media fear frenzy...health officials and government trying to decrease the burden on our health systems by validating the fear...and multiple posts and articles a day suggesting all this frenzy is completely unwarranted and ridiculous. I’m starting to feel paralysed by it. How are YOU doing? What choices are you making? Have you found an effective way to navigate the balance of risk? Have you found a way to decrease your anxiety through this all? This SAPP needs your help.
