The original Gerber baby is 94! In 1928, Gerber held a contest to find a face for the baby food advertising campaign. An artist, who was friends with her family, entered the now-famous sketch. bit.ly/3pODFXu Take a moment to wish Ann Turner Cook a very happy birthday!

It is certainly unusual for a leader of a political party in Canada to make such a statement and even easier from a leader who has little hope of leading the country. It is, however, how most of us feel! Yes, please, ’Vote Him Out! #votehimout https://twitter.com/thejagmeets/status/1323675076185804800

Hockey legend, Bobby Orr, has endorsed the reelection of Donald Trump and today placed a full-page ad in the New Hampshire Union Leader. Orr says Trump is the kind of teammate I want. The reaction on social media has been anything but positive with comments ranging from disappointing to this tweet from nurse, Schirl Smith in New Hampshire (@s_schirl) a few hours ago: The only fan letter I ever wrote, at 11, was to Orr. I admired his charity work and athletic ability, and... remained a fan for a lifetime. Now? The disappointment and anger at his choice of "teammate" is deep. https://www.cbc.ca//united-states-election-endorsement-bob

It was history in the making in the Region of Queens last night as 29-year-old, Maddie Charlton became the youngest person ever to hold a council position. Darlene Norman was also sworn in as the first female mayor of the region and the municipality will have more female representation on council than at any time in its history. Wow! #regionofqueens #municipalcouncil

If the by-election results in York Centre and Toronto Centre are any indication of the political mood of the country, one would think the Conservatives would want to avoid any future talk of a general election. The low voter turnout would be one indicator of election enthusiasm, not to mention a party that seems unwilling to adapt to change despite the emergence of a new leader in Erin O’Toole. The party continues to be a polarized one and their new leader seems content to ha...mmer away at Trudeau with the same angry rhetoric of Andrew Scheer (and Stehpen Harper before him) without offering any substantive policy changes that would separate them from the ruling Liberals. In Toronto Centre the Conservatives were unable to garner even a second place finish, and in York Centre the presence of ’Max Bernier’ who would appeal to the far right element within the party, was enough to keep them from claiming at least a partial victory. And Mr. O’Toole’s reaction on Twitter to the by-election defeats: These results in two of the safest Liberal seats in the country shows Canadians are losing faith in Justin Trudeau. Thank you to @VoteJulius for an impressive campaign, & to Ben Sharma for stepping up. We’re ensuring more Canadians see a Conservative when they look in the mirror. Duh! #cdnpoli
