Social Reroute 08.02.2021

I am SO EXCITED for the day when we get to officially launch our new website. I completely designed it from scratch and have been working alongside a software engineer to custom code it. Having complete control over the entire build has been a dream come true any design nerd knows how annoying it is to work within a template so building this website has felt like freeeeeeeedom. Through the process of designing our website, I’ve also taken the time to completely overhaul our ...visual identity and our values/mission/tone/story etc After reflecting on our first year of business, I came up with six company values that embody what we stand for. Here’s 2 out of 6. #yeg #yeglocal #yegbusiness #companyvalues #marketingagency #communications #values

Do you have a process for collecting Google Reviews? I always tell my clients to establish some sort of system for gathering testimonials from their customers. It can be as simple as adding a link to the Google Review form in the invoice email or it can be a dedicated follow-up email after the sale/delivery of work/etc Whatever the system is, it’s a great way to establish trust for your business. I’m feeling grateful to my clients who have taken the time to leave a review f...or Social Reroute so far. #digitalmarketing #testimonial #yeglocal #communications #yeg #yegshoplocal

I saw a tiktok that said you could be doubting yourself meanwhile there’s hella people that fear your potential'' and if that isn’t the truth, I don’t know what is. Do you ever scroll on IG and hesitate to push the ‘like’ button when someone in your industry posts good content? Do you feel threatened when other people are succeeding? I know that I have felt this way numerous times. I’ve seen content from my peers that I thought was amazing but purposely didn’t push the ‘lik...e’ button because I didn’t want to fuel their success. How sad is that? As humans living in a capitalist/competitive society, it’s common to feel envious of others. Social media is an especially difficult place to navigate because you have to constantly see other people rising, achieving and succeeding. It’s overwhelming. I’m choosing to be vulnerable right now because I think to some extent we all feel this way. Instead of limiting each other, let’s support each other. Each day I push past my insecurities and in doing so, it opens up more space for ME to rise to my full potential and create work that is steeped in creativity and abundance. If you’re feeling underappreciated right now, comment below and I will follow your account and hype you up. We all deserve to succeed. #communityovercompetition #yeg #yegsmallbusiness #womensupportingwomen #yeglocal

Trigger Warning: PTSD, social work When Nicole reached out to me for branding and web design I asked her why she started her photography business. After telling me her story, I got goosebumps and immediately agreed to take on her project. Nicole spent many years working as a registered social worker in Whitehorse, YT and although she loved her job, it’s a mentally and emotionally difficult environment to be in every day. Unfortunately, she developed Post-Traumatic Stress Diso...rder (PTSD) and needed to take some time off. During that time off, Nicole began to embark on a healing journey which would eventually lead to her discovery of family photography. Through her healing process, Nicole started to photograph families in her community. As she continued to book more sessions, she realized that becoming a family photographer was her way of shifting her previous experiences of working with children and families. Instead of being there during the most difficult moments of a family’s life, she now gets to be there during the happy moments of love and connection. Because Nicole’s journey as a photographer is so deeply enmeshed in her healing journey, we chose to integrate a lavender sprig to signify that. The lavender sprig also cuts through the square, creating two mirroring triangle shapes which represents the darkness where she once was vs. where she is now. For the colour palette we chose warm colours which provides a nice juxtaposition to her wintery photo sessions in northern Canada. Nicole asked for delicate lines, soft fonts and simplicity. To support her journey, you can follow her here: Nicole Buddin Photography and check out her website too! www.nicolebuddin.com A big thank you to Karling Dallyn for her website building skills and work on this project. Another thank you to Quinne Miller Creative for helping to refine the logos. #yeglocal #yeggers #yukon #whitehorse #yegmarketing #edmontonliving #branding #creatives
