Roadsides are increasingly being recognized for their potential to support restoration activities and act as habitat corridors for wildlife. For her masters research, Mara investigated whether roadside grassland restorations in Ontario were successful in restoring the plant community, bee community and soil characteristics. She highlights the key results of her research and discusses the opportunities and challenges of roadside restoration.
