We are so grateful for the tremendous work of Society for Treatment of Autism. They stepped up to help when we needed them. Our son developed many life-long skills in the residential program. The dedicated staff and specialists developed a unique program to help our son with his communication and behavioural challenges. Now our son loves life, enjoys the outdoors and has secured a part-time job. - Kathy parent of EIP/Res/Adult program #enhancinglivesacrossthespectrum #employment #successstory #lovelife #lifelonglearning Cenovus

Thanks to the generosity of Els for Autism STA is able to provide programming via scholarship for 3 toddlers in the Early Intervention Program - Toddler Model! These scholarships will be available in the upcoming year and will help us continue to support families with toddlers who are at-risk for or have a diagnosis of ASD by assisting families in learning to embed naturalistic teaching within daily routines.

"My time at STA has been crucial in getting me to where I am at today in my career. STA allowed me to work within a variety of different roles over my years there. I learned about the importance of working as a collaborative team when looking and thinking about youth with disabilities. STA taught me to seek out the positives, and never give up on kids. The power of positive relationships between staff and clients was so important to the work at STA, and holds true for me toda...y with my work with CBE. I have been able to apply much of the foundational skills and knowledge I learned at STA into my current role - which sees me working with various schools and students in supporting and implementing strategies to help students learn and thrive within their schools. I reflect back on my time at STA often. The leadership staff, front line staff, consultants, and clients hold a special place in my heart." - Robert | Inclusive Education Learning Leader with CBE #enhancinglivesacrossthespectrum #societyfortreatmentofautism #growth #alwayslearning #TogetherWeGrow #multidisciplinary #newopportunities

Our OT team spent the day together (physically distanced and following covid protocols) building their team and discussing approaches to OT programming! Such great weather to be able to do this outdoors!
