It’s an exciting week for new hardware! First, Microsoft will be holding an event this Wednesday focusing on their Surface lineup of devices. These are made in-house by Microsoft and feature cutting-edge specs and features. There has been quite a bit of speculation as to what exactly they will be announcing at the event, but rumour has it that they’ll be releasing an all-in-one desktop PC to go alongside updated models of their existing products, the Surface Pro and Surfac...e Book. To find out more, visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/octoberevent where you’ll be able to watch Microsoft’s livestream of the event. On Thursday, Apple is set to announce updates to their MacBook line of laptops and perhaps some additional hardware. These updates should include major hardware improvements and also some new features like a touchscreen strip above the keyboard. Should be exciting! Apple has just released iOS 10, the latest version of the operating system that runs on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches. Apple has a pretty solid overview of what's new over on their iOS 10 page, linked below. It also includes a list of compatible devices. Some devices didn't make the cut this time around, including the iPad 2 & 3 and the iPhone 4S. If you have a compatible device, update it by opening the Settings app, tapping on General, and then tapping Software Update. It's a large download, so it will take some time to complete. As always, we're available to assist if you have any questions!

The window of opportunity for a free upgrade to Windows 10 is coming to an end. However, there is still some time before the July 29th deadline if you would like to upgrade. From that date forward, you will need to purchase a Windows 10 license in order to upgrade your computer. Information about how to download and install Windows 10 can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/windows-10-upgrade If you have any concerns or questions about the upgrade process... don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we can help out from there.
