Yesterday, Jane, Jackson and Penny left for their new home and future adventures. We have made a lovely new friend in their owner and she graciously brought over some of her beautiful soaps for us! The bottom one is made with coffee grounds and is amazing at taking out those unpleasant farm odours that one picks up handling farm animals. The Solah Farm kids were so excited to get it! It's affectionately known around here as the "Chicken Poo" soap. Guess what smell it does ...a good job getting rid of..... Hello everyone! I hope this message finds you all healthy and happy The hatching season is nearing an end here and I am officially closing custom orders. I'll be hatching in to July, but will no longer be taking specific orders. Orders placed prior to today, will of course still be honoured. ... If you are still hoping for chicks this season, I'll have them, but it will be on a what's available basis. I will be opening up all breeding pens mid July and my hens will be heading out to pasture for a well deserved break. Ducklings will also be available through to August. It has been such a pleasure to meet new friends this year and to see our years past customers. Chicken people are simply wonderful!

Only 2 sides left of our delicious pork! Our pigs are ethically raised with lots of room to run and fresh air. They are fed a corn and soy free diet with fresh eggs from our chickens as treats $6 a pound, plus cut and wrap. Will be available for pick up at Gunter's end of July.
