I wish I could tell little Tina that life gets better. I remember I used to joke with my friends (as a teenager) that they had permission to shoot me dead at 55 years old because I was sure life would be over and dull by then. I mean, it already was shitty at 16.. why would anyone want to live another 80 years like that? I was that person that never understood the point of life. Why were we put here to live a miserable existence of work and sleep? I’m not sure I can tell yo...u what I did to turn it around, but I can tell you that today I woke up with joy. And I am so fucking grateful. I’ve probably spent my entire life up until this point trying to fix myself. And maybe I did because I don’t think there is anything to fix anymore. Or maybe I finally realized that we were all born perfect as we are and I never had to change anything. All that energy I spent trying to fix myself I can finally redirect somewhere else. I think its absolutely hilarious that it took me over 32 years of this bullshit to figure it out. DECADES of life wasted on trying to shrink myself when I should have been getting louder and prouder. Basically all of this to say is that I am doing quite well now thank you for asking. And if growing up means I get to continue this beautiful journey where I learn all of the ways in which I can love myself and the world then I can’t fucking wait to live this life and see the 55 year old version of myself.
