The region experienced another strong month in October driven by continued buyer demand. The largest increase in average sale price was Middlesex County, but this was driven by a handful of high-end home sales. Homes continue to sell quickly throughout the area. The median number of days that a home was on the market in London was 8, that's down from 13 days in October 2019. Meanwhile, in Strathroy, it was 8.5, down from 27; in Elgin, it was 14, down from 17.5; in St, Thomas, it was 8, down from 13; and in Middlesex, it was 17, down from 24. Another 690 homes were sold in London in October and another record month for the entire region. What are some of the factors impacting home prices? I haven't had time to post as much recently due to the busyness of this crazy market we are in, but some new people have recently followed my pages, so I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself & share why I'm passionate about what I do. First & foremost, I'm a husband to a beautiful wife and also a dad to 3 lovely children. I was born & raised in London, went to school here at Western, and have always called this beautiful city home. I spend most of my spare time ...with my family, but also love sports or a good board game. How did I get started in Real Estate? Real Estate has always been a passion of mine, and I invested in real estate at a young age. However, I started my professional career at a major financial institution, eventually working in the lending department, followed by the branch support team. These roles gave me a wealth of knowledge about the finance side of a Real Estate transaction. After 8+ years in banking, it was time to take this expertise and experience into a new challenge. This led me to follow my passion and pursue a career as a REALTOR in January of 2019. My favourite parts of the job are getting to know clients & their families better through the purchase/sale process, and in the end, being a part of a successful transaction that ends with the excitement of a sold home or a move to a new home!
