Seeking an Advanced Foot Care Nurse to provide in-home community visits in Oshawa, Whitby & Clarington. The nurse would be an independent contractor for Sole Renewal Footcare & Wellness. Sole Renewal Footcare & Wellness has been providing clinic and home nursing footcare services in the community of Durham Region since 2018. Clinic is opening January 2021 in North Oshawa.... Additional opportunity for work in the clinic setting may be available in the future. Hours are flexible: work around your own schedule. Compensation: Paid per visit START DATE: JANUARY 2021 Requirements: Foot Care Certification (Advanced Foot Care Course) Current Registration (in good standing) with the College of Nurses of Ontario Professional Liability Insurance (RPNAO or equivalent of 2 million minimum) Criminal Records Check (Vulnerable Sector) will be requested if chosen Valid CPR Drivers license with own transportation that is insured Must have own instruments (including podiatry drill - no Dremel) Autoclaved instruments will be mandatory for use on patients and available for use at clinic Experience in foot care for 1 year preferred. Willing to train and mentor the right candidate Phone with data plan - schedules, charting and receipts are done through the Noterro EMR Software app Willingness to travel and and work flexible hours Communication skills, both verbal and written, in English This is a great opportunity for footcare nurses who wish to gain experience and learn skills. Hi everyone! I hope you are all staying healthy and safe! Although I am sadly not able to provide treatments right now (unless for emergency), your foot health is still essential! While I was at Dollarama grabbing a few needed items, I came across a footcare section. I wanted to share with you all these products that are very budget friendly. They can certainly help you maintain your feet until I am able to assist you again!... I was very impressed with their selection, please have a look! To my valued patients: In light of the COVID19 situation and recommendations from Public Health Ontario, I will be immediately suspending all IN HOME TREATMENTS until at least April. All LTC and seniors homes in Ontario have banned visitors and "non-essential" services, and unfortunately, footcare falls under this category. ... Since my patients in their homes are often the most vulnerable, it is important for me to follow suit with the guidelines ensuring your safety. Your health and safety is my #1 priority and this was not an easy decision to make. All programs (including footcare) at the Bowmanville Older Adult Association has also been halted until further notice. If you have an appointment booked with me in your home the next 2 weeks, you will be contacted directly and given a tentative reschedule date. All appointments at the BOAA will be contacted as well.
