Hi All Thank you so much for your patience following the mandatory closure of the clinic due to Covid-19. As per the announcements last week, we are carefully re-opening as of Tuesday May 5th. ... In order to do this safely and effectively, the following considerations have been made: 1. Attached to your booking confirmation will be a screening form to complete before you attend your appointment. If you have symptoms, please cancel your appointment. 2. Appointments will be spaced out to maintain physical distancing between patients. This means I will be running a reduced caseload, but I will be working longer days to ensure everyone can be seen in a timely fashion. 3. Regular disinfection of all surfaces with focus on high-touch areas will be maintained. 4. To ensure the waiting room does not become congested, please come for your appointment AT your appointment time. If you are early, please stay in your vehicle until your appointment time. 5. If you have your own face mask, please bring it and wear it. I will be wearing my mask all day. 6. I will be re-opening initially only in Swift Current as my satellite clinics in Shaunavon and Maple Creek are in a hospital setting. Hello all! I’m sure you’ve heard the great news about the opening of Podiatry clinics on May 4th. I do ask that you continue to have patience with me as I seek guidance on how this will look for the clinic. It’s likely I will not be working at the usual pace due to ongoing restrictions and policies to maintain social distancing. ... I will notify you all ASAP when my plan is finalized. As I enter week 3 of no podiatry, I'm thinking of you all and do hope you're keeping safe and well. It's certainly a strange world but if we look out for each other we can get through this and once it is over I promise I will work all hours to get your feet back to where they were before. I wanted to remind you that if you have a problem with your feet that you feel requires a visit to the Emergency Room, I am permitted to see you in that situation under the Covid-19 restric...tions. This is to avoid risk of exposure at the ER and to also relieve the pressure on the hospital staff with non-virus related emergencies. The first batch of orthotics have made their way to me and I am so happy to be able to mail them out to their new owners. Hot off the press, we are now able to offer tele-health appointments, and most insurance companies are covering those due to these unprecedented times - check your policy. Of course nothing beats the hands-on nature of a podiatry appointment, but if I can help you with a diagnosis and some advice, or even triage into an emergency appointment then that is certainly an advantage over the current situation. If you have a foot emergency that requires a visit to the ER, I can help you within the Covid-19 restrictions. Such cases would be ulcerations, foot infections (not fungus) and infected ingrown toenails. If that’s you, there is a special appointment type for Emergency Podiatry. If you don’t have an urgent foot problem, please stay at home where it’s safe and I will see you once the restrictions have lifted.
