Friday Dec.20th the guys in the Shop had their annual Christmas Lunch and we used this opportunity to celebrate the career of one our retiring Shop Fabricators - 'Jorge Carreira'. Jorge started his steel fabricating career in Edmonton working for C.W.Carry in 1975. He retires after 15 years of solid dedicated service @ SRS. Jorge we're thankful for your skill, talent & commitment and wish you a Blessed Retirement! We were also pleased to have two of Jorge's sons [Daniel & Matthew] attend! #Steel-Gotta-Love-It!

Pleased & Proud to share the news of an award we received @ the recent VRCA {Vancouver Regional Construction Association} AWARDS Evening - We won the INNOVATION & PRODUCTIVITY AWARD for our 'Flying Gantry Crane' - Thanks to Stevenjohn Steunenberg for attending and accepting the award on our behalf. #STEEL - You gotta love it - We Do!

At SRS we try to recycle all our scrap steel, to the extreme - For Example: Peter keeps a small glass jar on his desk and fills it with everyday steel 'garbage' (staples, etc..). [Steel is the World's Most Recycled Material, more than all other materials combined. Steel retains an extremely high overall recycling rate, which in 2014, stood at 86 percent!] STEEL = Strength / Economy / Reliability !! Gotta Love Steel - We Do!
