Last Sunday, we spent nine hours outside "planing" wood--cleaning up 300 boards or so to put up as a feature wall in our office. Not the most ideal November weekend day, but you have to use your spare time when you have it! This particular photograph is the moment when the whole block of the city lost power and we were sitting ducks for a bit--luckily it was a beautiful day, so we ate some pizza and got to work moments later with a back-up generator. Our first shoot in our new office was for a musical group, and it required some VERY OLD technology to accomplish. Remember overhead projectors? How about CRT televisions? You need quite the imaginative sequence of dongles and converters to send edited footage to an ancient TV. The results are looking pretty striking though, and it's nice to take a brief intermission from our typical work to try our hands at something deliberately artistic. You have a story to tell. It would be an oversimplification to say that are our office move has been a huge undertaking for us. This week, Curtis is all over the Okanagan--Oliver, Kamloops, Kelowna--doing actual video work.
