Pandemic mindset when experiencing holiday stress. Holidays can be a time for celebration, family, food and fun, but it also be a time when we feel alone, disconnected or isolated. 1. Check in with how your feeling.... Take some time to sort through your emotions - you can journal, talk to a friend, or just spend some quiet time alone thinking. 2. Acknowledge your losses. If your missing a loved one, think of ways to honor them during your festivities. 3. Doing things differently. Try to find ways creative ways to celebrate new traditions for the holidays. Rekindling centuries-old values we’d either lost or forgotten during the holidays. 4. Practice Gratitude Gratitude is a major focus this time of year. It’s likely more difficult to find things to appreciate, there is still plenty to be thankful for. Maybe it’s our health, family, or pets.
