Health Care for All Manitoba is a new coalition launched today! Visit the webpage: www.cfsmb.ca/campaigns/healthcareforall to email your elected representative...s and demand universal healthcare access for all, regardless of immigration status. Healthcare is a basic human right and a fundamental part of responsible public health. Many people in Manitoba are currently not covered by provincial health care: migrant workers with work permits of less than one year, international students, refugee claimants and those undocumented residents who have lost their status for a variety of reasons. Racialized people and communities are disproportionately affected by the pandemic, mainly due to the social and economic conditions which leave them vulnerable while performing essential work in a variety of industries in Manitoba. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it clear: we must ensure everyone in Manitoba has access to health care to protect the health and safety of all who live in the province.

People need systemic analysis of how capitalist societies work, not conspiracy theories! That’s one reason our group organizes educational activities. The danger of conspiracy theories is not that they promote action to tear down society but that they delegitimise, distract and divert: they divert large numbers of people from engaging in political action, leaving the field clear for the cynical, the greedy and the violently intolerant. They distract them from questioning authority about society’s real problems by promoting a gory soap opera as if it were real and the result of ‘research’. https://redflag.org.au/node/7469

Let’s learn from Australia: a serious lockdown can work! People need more supports, though. After driving case numbers down, there shouldn’t be reopening until extensive fast testing, contact tracing and isolation services are in place. That’s where the PCs completely failed in Manitoba. We mustn’t let them do it again. https://redflag.org.au/node/7453

A good day to say that no one who opposes colonialism, racism, ethnic cleansing, occupation and apartheid should feel the slightest bit apologetic in expressing their solidarity with the struggle for a free Palestine.

Important statement by a group of Arab and Palestinian writers criticizing a definition of antisemitism supported by too many politicians in Canada. We believe that human values and rights are indivisible and that the fight against antisemitism should go hand in hand with the struggle on behalf of all oppressed peoples and groups for dignity, equality and emancipation.

The fight against all forms of oppression is central to our ecosocialism. But as this article argues We cannot achieve liberation through the superficial and deceptive tactics of representation and individual competition. https://www.leftvoice.org/the-fine-print-of-representation-
