Christian has been the head coach of our U16 for the past years and we are extremely grateful to have him on our coaching staff. A great teacher for our players, patient and with a profound understanding of the game, Christian also loves to help other coaches as well and our other teams. Somang is happy to announce the nomination of Louis-karl Pettinicchi to be our U16 National Head Coach for the 2021-2022 season. While he has been coaching our U18 squad the last 2 years, he now has an opportunity to further expand his tool box as a coach by working with a younger team. L-K, like our players, wants to advance as a coach and we are helping him acheive his objectives. Although not yet done with this season ending in June, we continue to announce our 2021-2022 staff. Somang is happy to announce that Jean-Francois Thibodeau has been selected as head coach of our U16 elite team for the 21-22 season. Jeff has shown great leadership as head coach of our U14 over the past couple of years. Beloved by his players, Jeff has shown a great willingness to learn and grow within our Academy. Somang hockey is proud to welcome Richard Roberge as our U14 Elite head coach for the 2021-2022 season. Richard brings with him a wealth of experience in developing young players. He has coached and trained at the Magh, Atome AA, PeeWeeAA and BantamCC levels. As a player, Richard played at the AAA level as a defenseman. Having a coach that can teach and develop and that knows the game is a great asset for our younger Somang hockey players. Welcome aboard Richard... Once a Somang always a Somang!
