Here's an article about an incredible man that changed the way we interact with nature in parklands. Yorke Edwards was the first person to propose park interpretation for Canada's Parks system. He also played an essential role in the protection and stewardship of the Somenos Watershed. Yorke established the first plans for restoring the watershed around 1988/89. Check out the article to learn a bit more about this incredible man that changed the way we experience parks! https://www.cheknews.ca/this-week-in-history-yorke-edwards/

ATTENTION! The Wildlife Rescue Association of BC, located in Burnaby is urging residents of coastal BC to take down their bird feeders to stop the spread of salmonella to flocking birds such as the Pine Siskin. This disease is highly contagious and can rapidly infect groups of flocking birds feeding at backyard feeders.
