With the extension of the provincial shutdown, all Sault Female Hockey Association activities will continue to be paused until January 23, 2021. We will continue to follow provincial guidelines, as well as guidelines outlined by OWHA and our municipality.

With the extended lockdown announced today, all SFHA activities will continue to be paused for the additional 28 days. We will keep you updated with plans for the season as it gets closer to the end of this lockdown period.

With the Ford Government’s announcement today of a second shutdown in Ontario, ALL Sault Female Hockey Association programs and activities are paused until January 11th and/or until city rinks reopen and approval from Algoma Public Health and OWHA is granted.

**IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION** Thank-you for pre-registering with SFHA. That has helped us prepare for the season. Now, ALL PLAYERS need to go back on the website and complete the official registration for the season - OWHA 2020-2021. ... LIVE Registration is for the following teams: U9 Wildcat Development U11 Wildcat Development U11 B Junior Greyhounds U13/U15 HL U13 Wildcat Development U13 A Junior Greyhounds U15 A Junior Greyhounds U15 AA Junior Greyhounds U18 A Junior Greyhounds U18 AA Junior Greyhounds Initial Payment required upon registration ($200 for rep and development programs and $100 for HL). Register by September 15th. Equalized payments for the balance follow on Oct 15, Nov 15 and Dec 15th. Total Balance must be paid by Dec 15th.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT DETAILS FOR 2020/2021 SEASON Now that the season is beginning, ALL players AND coaching staff need to go back on and complete the official registration for the season. As each division and team is approved the registration for each will go live and become visible to the participants. ... Choose a season: 2020-2021 Choose a division (note at this point you are not choosing carding. That comes next) Choose a package (this is where the carding comes into play). Each package will outline the payment plan and what is required upon registration. Each player must sign their own waivers at the next step. Parents cannot sign for them. OWHA does check. All players must upload a birth certificate. Credit card payments only. No checks. No E-Transfers. No money orders. IMPORTANT: all payments must be completed in full by December 15th. If the full balance has not been paid in full the coach and manager will be advised as those specific players will NOT be permitted on the ice until payment is received. DREAMCATCHER/JUMP START APPLICATIONS: The $200 initial payment is STILL required. Families must provide SFHA with proof of an application being completed. SFHA will complete required letters for the Dreamcatcher/Jumpstart application in a quick fashion. If no official Dreamcatcher/Jumpstart documentation is provided to SFHA by October 15th then the second league registration instalment is required. If no official Dreamcatcher/Jumpstart documentation is provided to SFHA by November 15th then the third league registration instalment is required. If no official Dreamcatcher/Jumpstart documentation is provided to SFHA by December 15th then the fourth and final league registration instalment is required. Families will be reimbursed funds from SFHA should Dreamcatcher/Jumpstart funding be received after families have directly paid instalments for their child’s registration.

Our registration numbers are in and we had to make program decisions based on our registration fees covering all costs involved with rostering teams through OWHA and all ice costs for the year. We do not have 50/50 revenue to help offset these costs this season. That being said, we will only be able to run a mixed U13/U15 house league program. There were not enough girls to roster U18 HL or a U11C Wildcats Development team.
